Capcom has just opened a new official site for the upcoming PC version of Resident Evil 6. It reveals an exclusive new mode for this version, the “Mercenaries Unlimited”.
Some adjustments have been made in this mode to accommodate new players, though details are unknown. The Japanese text mentions “harsh strategy” and different techniques are required than those in the traditional Mercenaries mode.
There is also a new trailer uploaded on the official Biohazard (Resident Evil Japan) YouTube channel, showing the mode in action. Here you will see the enemy count has been doubled to 300, and there are many more on-screen at once than usual.

As much as I criticise RE6, the Mercenaries mode remains very fun, and I’d claim that it’s actually the highlight of the whole game. To see it ramped up is exciting, and hopefully we shall receive new info soon.
