Zombie lovers are in for a treat today as Nintendo has officially confirmed the existence of a ZombiU Wii U bundle, which will be hitting North America this month. The bundle originally caught fans’ eyes earlier this week when a listing for the console appeared on BestBuy’s Canadian site. Nintendo has now confirmed the listing is, in fact, real and that it will be coming to Canada as well as the U.S. Feb. 17.
The ZombiU Deluxe set will retail at $389.99 and will feature the standard Wii U Deluxe set, ZombiU game, a digital copy of Nintendo Land, a black Wii U Pro controller and a collectible art book featuring previously unreleased commentary on the game. Since bundles can, at times, be complete ripoffs it’s definitely worth mentioning that these items separately would cost buyers an additional $70.
ZombiU was originally released as one of Nintendo’s launch titles for their latest Wii U console and featured a very different experience than Nintendo fans have been used to. Quickly becoming known as a children’s company, Nintendo is looking to reinvent it’s image with ZombiU and appeal to a wider variety of players in an attempt to compete against Sony’s PlyStation 3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 consoles.
