It’s really rare having a solid release date for a Blizzard title some time before the actual release but sometime, it really does happen. The latest Starcraft 2 expansion called Heart Of The Swarm will be launching in a few week, offering not only a continuation of the story from the previous expansion but more units, vehicles and options.
Blizzard has stressed during the last days how they want newbies to be able to enjoy the game as much as veterans of the game: in an attempt to make it easier for people to get into the game, Blizzard has introduced a lot of different options. Training mode will allow players to play a multiplayer match against the AI, with constant explanations of all of the game’s features. Once players may feel ready they may want to play an unranked match: this option is really nice for veterans as well, since they will be able to experiment a bit without having to compromise their own rank.
Ranked play has also received some tweakings: a new leveling system has been introduced, allowing players to unlock skins and extra animations by mastering all races, an incentive to try out everything the game has to offer. The total level will also be calculated through the score obtained in all the game’s modes.
Starcraft 2: Heart Of The Swarm will be available starting March 12 on Pc.
