Activision, like many other publishers before them, is holding an event detailing its financial report for this fiscal year and together with all the numbers, an interesting announcement has been made: a new Call Of Duty game will be coming at the end of 2013.
The announcement is hardly surprising: ever since the series rose to fame, there’s been an entry for every end of the year. 2012′s game, Black Ops 2 is still selling a lot, dominating all sales chart around the West and it has received some great reviews, thanks to the high quality work put in by Treyarch, work that’s continuining even after the game’s release with updates, patches and extra downloadable content. The game is is said to be already in development but all the details are still unknown: the next Call Of Duty game will probably be developed by Infinity Ward following the one year cycling for the studios working on the series.
More details regarding setting, gameplay features, online multiplayer modes and platforms will surely be coming shortly: being released at the end of the year could mean that the next COD game may be coming on the next gen consoles as well as the usual Ps3 and Xbox 360.
