Truth to be told, not too many developers are supporting the PsVita right about now, due to the very low sales of the console all over the world: it’s been reported today that Sony slashed sales forecasts again for the third time in a year so the situation doesn’t look too bright. Given such situation it’s really surprising hearing about a publisher being happy with the performance on a PsVita exclusive game.
In the Ubisoft financial report for the last fiscal year, there have been so many news about the Assassin’s Creed series: together with a new entry of the series, coming on the next financial year, Ubisoft has commented about the performance of the Ps Vita Assassin’s Creed 3 spinoff called Liberation.
Apparently, the game is pretty close in hittng the 600.000 units sold mark and it’s really an impressive number: Ubisoft views this as a good achievement and proof that if a product is well done, it will eventually get some good sales number.
For this reason Ubisoft suggests to not consider the PsVita a failure yet: it’s a quality console and when all its features are used for the best, things end up working even from a sales point of view
