There is something to be said for the whole concept of game reviews, especially in the day and age of the internet where it feels like most major websites are hanging on by a thread and that their reviews are holding something back. We’ve all heard the stories about publishers — or at least PR agents — and how they interact with the media and have certain demands. It has really taken the whole idea of game reviews over the past few years and kind of made them less of a verdict handed down by the gaming gods and more like some people of promotional material with slivers of truth in the text and scores to keep everyone happy.

Conan O’Brien, the uber-popular late night television host with younger Americans, has been doing some game reviews for a while in a segment that he calls “Clueless Gamer.” It is kind of a fascinating segment as he claims not to be a gamer and his review scores are incredibly arbitrary, always mocking. He very rarely plays the game how it is intended and this time around, with Halo 4, it was no different. In this one they even take a look at the scene in Halo 4 that Conan and Andy recorded voicework for.
