With all the recent hype surrounding the third and final Witcher title, the developers have released information regarding the franchises overall sales numbers.  The franchise has surpassed the 5 million mark in sales, combining the sales of The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, these two games have been highly successful.  These two games have gone on sale this week, with  both Witcher games going on sale on Steam.  The Witcher is $5 bucks, and Witcher 2 is $10 bucks.  The second game  has been permanently discounted on the Xbox as well, bringing the price down to $30 dollars.

Adam Kicinski, CEO of CD Projekt SA, stated the following.  ”The Witcher 3 will be a crowning achievement for the RPG genre, but I am also proud to announce that the number of previous Witcher games sold has surpassed 5 million copies. This is great news, especially since the 2012 debuted console debut on the Xbox 360 contributed largely to this result, receiving great feedback from gamers and critics. The Witcher 2 is already a classic RPG, so if you haven’t played it yet be sure to enhance your role-playing collection and experience an unique gaming adventure.”  If you have never played anyone of these games before, I suggest you pick one up.  The third game is building up a lot of next gen hype, so you might want to try and experience the first two games before the last game comes out.
