After the not so successful run of Final Fantasy XIV, the second massive online game of the series, Square Enix is getting ready to launch the game again ina new form: A Realm Reborn will feature a lot of new content, revised gameplay ideas and a lot of new locations, born from the disaster which struck the game’s world at the end of Final Fantasy XIV.
Before the game full launches some time this year, Square Enix will be holding an extensive beta phase, making sure every aspect of the game works as it should: the company is set in not repeating the same mistakes of the vanilla Final Fantasy XIV version, a game which tarnished the series reputation.
The beta testing will be divided into four phases: pc players will be able to test the game from the first phase, while Ps3 players only from the third phase. Pc players will require having a machine meeting the minimum requirements before being accepted for the beta testing. Ps3 players will need the console, a broadband connection and some free space on their internal HDDs.
As of today players can sign up for the beta and hope to get in: more players will be included in the later parts of the beta testing so don’t fret if you don’t get in right away. For now you can head over here and sign up for the beta.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be available on Pc this year, while the Ps3 version will be launching shortly after the game’s Pc launch.
