If you are a PC gamer and a fan of point and click adventures, you probably know about the Sherlock Holmes games: the first game of the series was released back in the early 2000s and after sic games, it became a quite successful series thanks to an engaging gameplay experience as well as intriguing plots and characters. After the humble point and click beginning, the series made the jump to a third person adventure game in The Testament Of Sherlock Holmes.
A new Sherlock Holmes game, called Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment has been announced today and it will build its foundation from the features of the previous game: the new Sherlock Holmes Adventure will be a full 3D Adventure game developed with the Unreal Engine 3, allowing for an improved graphical quality. Gameplay wise, players will finally be able to take a central role in the game, having to solve eight cases and having to make choice during the game which will influence the outcome of the investigations and of the game as a whole. This action/consequence system will make players even more engaging, showing the immediate effects of their choices.
The game will be released on Pc and it still hasn’t received a release date: the game is still in the early stages of development.
