Splinter Cell: Blacklist has been picking up some good momentum lately, with the recent trailers and the unveiling of the extravagant Collector’s Edition, a lot of people have been getting a lot more excited for Sam Fisher’s latest adventure. The latest news out of Ubisoft isn’t the best of news we’ve had for the game, it maybe even a bit controversial. If you remember the E3 2012 demo of the game, there was a pretty intense torture scene shown, and it has gotten only negative reactions from people everywhere. Fans and critics have not taken a shine to it, so Ubisoft has made the decision to cut the scene all together.
I myself, didn’t have a problem with the scene, and I really felt like they should’ve kept the scene in. The series has been getting a lot more darker, and a lot more grittier. I have no problem with the series’ new direction at all. Ubisoft has stated that they haven’t heard anyone say that they loved the scene, so the decision to cut it wasn’t a tough one for them. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is scheduled to release this August, and I’m sure the game will be successful. From what we’ve seen so far from the game, it continues to impress.
