Yesterday we found out that Junction Point, the Disney studio behind the Epic Mickey games was shutting down. That leaves Junction Point co-founder Warren Spector looking for a new project. Spector who is a legend in the gaming industry for create games like Deus Ex and System Shock, said he currently has no idea what he will do next.

Spector came out and confirmed that he literally has no idea what he will do next; and he went on to say that whatever we thought of the Epic Mickey games they were “polarizing”. However, he did confirm that his next project will not be with Disney but that is all he would say about his next project.

These past few years Spector has been extremely outspoken against what he deemed “ultra violence” in video games these days. So you would suspect that whatever his next project is, it will likely be non violent in nature. It will be interesting to see if Spector follows a lot of other major developers who moved out of triple-A gaming and into the indie gaming scene; and starts his own small development team to work on downloadable titles for the PSN and Xbox Live.
