Microsoft has been rumored to be putting out their next generation console later this year. However, the console maker does not at this time have very much in the exclusive game department; so a lot of people have been wondering what the next generation Microsoft console will launch with. Today may hold some answers as Microsoft is trying to trademark “Marlow Briggs”, which has been classified as “game software”.

No other information is present, but the fact that this falls under “game software” indicates we are probably looking at something that has to do with a future video game. But at this time, Microsoft has not made any formal announcement about anything related to “Marlow Briggs”.

Microsoft is in desperate need of some exclusives for launching a new console, as having exclusive software is probably the most important thing when it comes to selling a new gaming console.

Earlier last week Microsoft also filed a trademark for something called “Gunpowder”, that is also suppose to be related to video games; more specifically the “Gunpowder” trademark focuses on online games. Microsoft has yet to comment on either trademark filing.
