Europe will be receiving it’s first free-to-play Wii U game this week on the eShop, Namco Bandai’s Zen Pinball 2.

Extra pinball tables are offered as downloadable content, and include Marvel Pinball, Plants vs. Zombies Pinball as well as some of Zen Studios’ original designs. The prices of these tables will range from £2.39 to £7.99.

Interestingly, you can actually try out these tables before purchasing. Tournaments play and multiplayer are also available.

This is a fantastic move by the developer, as I would love to see more free-to-play models on consoles and not just restricted to PCs.

The game isn’t yet on the eShop at the time of writing. Presumably, it will become available when the eShop updates this week on Thursday, January 31. You can also expect Batman: Arkham City – Armored Edition to arrive in digital format on the eShop on the same day, priced at £49.99.
