Total War: Shogun 2 is a strategy game developed by The Creative Assembly and published by Sega. It’s part of the Total War series, bringing back the feudal japan setting of the first game of the series. The game received critical praise, with many reviewers enjoying the game’s return to its roots, both gameplay wise and setting wise.
During the game, players will have to lead their armies to victory as well as overseeing the development of settlements, economics, growth and technological advancement. Players will also be able to engage in diplomacy and even use some more shady methods to gain the upper hand against enemies by using Ninja and Geishas as assassin’s and spies. The game has been so well received that many DLC packs have been released, with both extra units and new story scenarios, as well as two expansions.
Almost 2 years after the game’s original release, Sega has announced that Total War: Shogun 2 Gold Edition will be released in March: the pack will include the main game together with the Rise Of The Samurai and Fall Of The Samurai expansions. The game will hit North America on March 5 while it will be available on March 8 in Europe and Australia: the version released in Europe and Australia will also get all the DLCs released for the game together with the main game and expansions.
