Yesterday THQ sold off most of its’ main assets including games like Saints Row and Metro, but there are some games that did not get sold off. Those are THQ’s back catalog of games, and will most likely be sold as well during the coming weeks. According to THQ president Jason Rubin the games that were not sold off yesterday, THQ will hold a separate process in the next few weeks to sell off the rest of the games.
Some of the games not sold off at auction yesterday include: Red Faction, de Blob, Destroy All Humans!, and Homeworld. In addition, the Darksides franchise was also not sold yesterday, so it is possible that THQ will still sell the rights to the franchise during this other sale process. However, no official date has been set up for the next sale process.
I still can’t believe nobody picked up the Darksiders franchise; I know it is not a sales blockbuster franchise but it is still popular enough to justify purchasing for a company like Take-Two or ZeniMax. Out of the franchises I listed above, which one would you like to see get a sequel from another developer?
