Irrational Games has revealed a new BioShock Infinite trailer, showcasing the Industrial Revolution Pack DLC pack. The pack will be a pre-order bonus.

While the trailer constantly reminds viewers that the DLC is “free”, I’d have to question my anticipation for downloadable content that adds things like sprinting and lock-picking. You know, actions that are usually available in-game anyway?

It just seems like pre-ordering customers are given an advantage, rather than being given a fun little extra. I’d like to hope that this would also become free to late adopters, but that would defeat the greedy objective of post-launch DLC.

A puzzle game is also included, that looks similar to the hacking mini-game from prior Bioshock titles. Hopefully it turns out to be more enticing than that.

Still, if nothing else, the trailer shows some gameplay, which is always a delight when Bioshock Infinite looks beautiful.

Irrational Games delayed BioShock Infinite‘s release date by one month to March 26, when it will release worldwide.
