Nintendo was really busy today, between announcing all the new games for the Wii U they had time to come out and publicly apologize for the lack of games currently on the Wii U. The lack of games on the Wii U has been the number one deterrent for buying the system, but after all of today’s announcements this may not be as big of an issue.
Earlier today Nintendo president Satoru Iwata came out and apologized to fans for the lack of games on the Wii U. Iwata came out and said Nintendo does take the responsibility of having a good launch line up very seriously for the release of new consoles. However, Iwata said that Nintendo did not feel that many of the games that will be on the Wii U like Pikmin 3 were up to Nintendo’s quality standard so that is why the Wii U had a weaker than expected launch line up.
Iwata did reassure fans that starting in March, Nintendo will be offering new games from spring to summer. Not to mention that we will probably here a lot more at E3 about the fall release schedule for Nintendo. Honestly after all the game announcements today from Nintendo, if that doesn’t make you want to buy a Wii U nothing probably will.
