EA has announced that Crysis 3 multiplayer beta will be available to the public on January 29th for all platforms. The beta will run for two weeks and will only have two maps available Airport and Museum. There will also be only two modes available as well, the first being Crash Site which is Crysis 3’s version of King of the Hill gameplay.
The second gameplay mode available for the beta is called Hunter, which is a take on the infection gameplay mode from Halo. This is where two players in Nanosuits will spawn and proceed to hunt the rest of the players on the map. However, if a person is killed by the Nanosuit hunter, he or she will re-spawn as a Nanosuit hunter.
Crytek also announced that players will be able to try out the New York Feed, which is Crysis 3’s version of Battlefield 3 social tracker. Crysis 3 is on schedule to be released on February 19th on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
Since Crysis 3 was announced, the team at Crytek have been telling us how great the game is and how the graphical fidelity of the game will be unsurpassed by anything else out on the market. Well, we will finally get to see if the game can live up to all of Crytek’s boasting in a few weeks.
