Well, it didn’t take long for people to make the switch from Temple Run, to Temple Run 2.  The sequel to one of the most popular mobile games has been downloaded over 20 million times, it had only been released a few days ago.  The first game was downloaded over 170 million times, and it looks like the sequel is on track to pass it.  The game was downloaded on it’s release day over 6 million times alone, this is pretty astounding, and it shows you how strong the mobile market has become.  Imangi released the good news earlier today.  The original game’s downloads spanned across the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Marketplace.  The sequel is still only available on iOS devices, you can expect an Android version later this week.

Keith Shepard, co-founder of Imangi, stated that they were thrilled over the game’s success, and that they hope to grow and expand the game over the next coming months.  Temple Run 2 managed to accumulate over 210 million sessions.  The sequel featured improved visuals, more obstacles, and achievements as well.  Imangi took the first game, and really took it to a whole new level.  If you haven’t played the game yet, you’re probably waiting for the Android version, but you won’t have to wait long.
