2012 has been a good for the Hitman series, developed by Eidos and now published by Square Enix, new owners of Eidos: Hitman Absolution was released at the end of the year to a good critical and commercial acclaim featuring a new direction for the series, making it a little less complex and adding features which are now considered as a standard for third person action-shooter games. Some veterans of the series didn’t like the changes, thinking that they were damaging the series formula in favor of a more mainstream approach: it’s probably for these players that Square Enix and Eidos announced some days ago that Agent 47 would be coming back on consoles with his first adventures with the Hitman Trilogy Hd Collection.
Hitman HD Trilogy includes remastered versions of Hitman 2: Silnet Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money. Among the three games, players will have a lot to do, with over 40 missions full of bloody affairs, targets to kill and missions to complete.
Up until now no screens were available for the collection but today Square Enix has released three new screenshots, each showcasing one of the three included games. You can take a look at them below
Hitman HD Trilogy will be released in a couple of week on Ps3 and Xbox 360: on January 29 in North America and on February 1 in Europe.
