We are less than a week from THQ possibly having to auction off of many of their gaming assets. The uncertainty of the auction and THQ’s financial situation has caused GameStop to pull Metro: Last Light from their PC download service Impulse. In addition, GameStop has also pulled all other THQ pre-order PC games from Impulse.
However, you can still pre-order hard copies of Metro: Last Light for the Xbox 360 and PS3 as the removal of pre-orders only pertains to PC download version. In fact, you can still pre-order the limited edition of Metro: Last Light for the PC on GameStop’s website right now.
GameStop went on to say they did this to protect the consumer because of THQ’s financial situation and the “uncertainty of delivery”. GameStop did not say these were permanent removals and chances are that once everything gets sorted out the pre-orders will probably go back up. Hopefully most of this will get fixed after the auction takes place next week.
