If you’re a fan of the unique games developed by Grasshoper Manufacture like Killer 7 and No More Heroes, you’ll certainly vibes from these two games in the latest product in development by the japanese studios: Killer Is Dead will featuring an unique gameplay experience taking the best element of both games to create something special. The game has been described as an action game featuring quite a lot of violence and sexy women, almost so much that, by looking at the trailer, it looks like the game won’t be taking anything seriously.
Killer is Dead has been planned since the end of 2009 but development started only in Spring 2011. The game’s most prominent features were ready by April 2012 with the scenario still in the works. During August 2012 the attendees of the Lollipop Chainsaw Summer Appreciation Festival were able to witness the first trailer of the game, showcasing the game’s art, using Grasshopper Studio’s cel shaded graphics, and some of the game’s themes: a new take on the Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw. The trailer has finally been made public and all players can finally take a look at the game, after the first screens of the game have recently surfaced. You can take a look at the trailer here.
Killer Is Dead will be released this Summer on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360: a release date has yet to be announced.
