Borderlands 2 has been one of the pleasant surprises of the last year, with the first game having a solid following but definitely extending beyond the reach expected for it and the second game delivered in a big way. Of course with every cool thing that happens there are always a series of disappointments, right? Borderlands 2 has seen its share of setbacks by the way of glitches and just overall problems. The latest one is effecting players on the Xbox 360. Gearbox issued a patch to gamers to get things ready for the game’s DLC, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt.
To help prepare for it, Gearbox has been running a Gear Up event which allows players to play online during specific times to score some hard-to-find items and powerups along the way. Well, the patch that was fed out to Xbox 360 users is apparently having some download errors and due to it being a mandatory update to play online, users found themselves frozen out of the Gear Up event. For how long this lasts or if it is Xbox 360-only has yet to be discussed.
