If you have been following the first days of this generation, you’ll remember a promising game in development by Ubisoft called Killing Day: the game was originally revealed during the 2005 E3 and was supposed to be released on both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. However things fell silent during development and the project itself was cancelled during development.
However it looks like it wasn’t the end of the project: a new trademark for the game was filed back in 2009 but other than that, nothing had been heard about the game, until now.
A new filing for Killing Day was spotted and it’s not too old either: the filing was done on January 4th. This actually doesn’t mean anything: as stated before, the trademark was renewed back in 2009 but nothing new came up. And it may the same this time: Ubisoft could be simply keeping the trademark to see if there’s some possibility of starting the project again. Or it could be that they have finally decided to complete development and release the game during the final months of this gen or even a next gen project.
Ubisoft still has to comment about the new filing: speculation may go wild until we have some official words from the developer.
