A couple days ago Tecmo Koei confirmed that a new title update for their latest Beat’em Up, Dead Or Alive 5, would soon be available soon, promising some additions and tweakings for all characters. Some new details have emerged, together with a video showcasing one of the new additions.
Dead Or Alive 5 was released back in September on Ps3 and Xbox 360: gameplay wise the game uses a tweaked and improved version of Dead or Alive 4 fighting system using a rock-paper-scissors systems for the three attack types in the game. Tag Team battles also made a comeback, as well as changing arenas with a lot of destructible elements and danger zones inflicting damage to characters falling onto specific zones of the arena.
The new update, simply dubbed update 1.03, will introduce some tweaks for each characters’ moveset, as suggested to Team Ninja by fans and players: everyone will have something change so this update will end up being enjoyable for both veterans and newcomers. Another introduced feature will be the possibility to record and upload replays of matches, together with some basic video editing features. All the changes will be detailed in the next few days: in the mean time you check a video of La Mariposa Versus Hayate, featuring the tweaked movesets, here.
