Monster Hunter 4 is one of the most anticipated released of 2013, a game which will surely give a big sales boost to the 3DS not only Japan but Europe and North America as well. Some new details have emerged from the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Famitsu, detailing some new companions which will help players in their hunting endeavors.

Monster Hunter 4 looked like from the very beginning it would bring a bigger change into the series’ formula by making exploration and combat a bit more varied thanks to some diverse environments placed on different levels, requiring players to climb and jump to fully explore, with monsters using these features to their own advantage as well. Famitsu has also revealed that the players will be able ti bring two Felynes with them and one of them will be fully customizable: players will be able to change things like ears, eyes and fur. A secondary Felyne can’t be customized but, together with the main one, will be able to unleash a special Union attack depening on the main Felyne specifics: the Union attacks themselves will be quite varied and useful in many different situations.
