Anarchy Reign is a brawler-shooter hybrid, developed by Platinum Games and published by Sega. The game, called Max Anarchy in Japan, took quite some time to be released in the West, with the Japanese version available since last summer: the game can be considered as a sequel to the first Platinum Games title, Madworld, released some years ago on Wii. Some of Madoworld’s character make a comeback in the game: Jack Cayman, the comic relief character The Black Baron and even some bosses from the old game, presumed dead but now ready to kick some ass again.

The game has a strong focus on multiplayer modes: the game can be played in single player but looses much of its steam. The game’s heart are chaotic battles, when Anarchy truly reigns. Being a game focused on online multiplayer, the Day One Edition of the game contains two extra multiplayer mode, with one playing quite differently from the rest of the game’s modes and an extra character for multiplayer, an old face for Platinum Games’ fan: the witch Bayonetta enters the brawl, together with her over the top, flashy skills.

Anarchy Reigns is now available in both North America and Europe on Ps3 and Xbox 360: if you’re looking for an easy to pick up and play game, look no further.
