The Corpse Party series is one of the most unique ever released: the series started as a RPG Maker project back in 1996, with some more professional ports created for Windows and Psp. The first game, also released in North America thanks to XSeed is a unique hybrid between survival horror and Japanese Role Playing Game, with multiple paths in the story and endings, where players choices have consequences in almost every plot aspect.
Last year XSeed announced that the sequel to the first Corpse Party, called Corpse Party: Book Of Shadows, would be released as a PSN, Vita compatible release, in 2013. And now we’re only a week away from the North American release, happening on January 15th. The game will be available for 19.99 dollars; European players will have to wait some more time before being able to buy the game. Corpse Party: Book Of Shadows offers a different experience, with each chapter telling a different story, unlike the first game where a single story was told. For the rest the game won’t be too different from its predecessor, featuring the same unique blend, anime graphics and some scary stories.
Corpse Party: Book Of Shadows will be playable on both the Psp and PsVita: the game is a Psp release but fully compatible with the newest Sony handheld console.
