Chances are, if you are into gaming you’ve heard the name Child’s Play over the past year or so, and for good reason; they have been raising a lot of money for charity. I think the most recognizable spot where most gamers will recognize Child’s Play from would have to be Humble Bundle, as most of the Humble Bundles give the consumer the option to donate some of the money that they pay towards Child’s Play. On top of that, we’ve seen companies such as Double Fine working with Child’s Play to raise money for charity as well, and according to Child’s Play’s blog, those numbers are rather impressive.
How impressive? Well, how about over $5 million USD? That’s right, all of those times you adjusted your slides when buying a Humble Bundle and decided to give something to charity added up to a whopping $5 million. Of course, they have been working with more than just games, but you should read their blog to see who else helped to contribute to their record-setting 2012.
