Mutant Mudds was originally released on 3DS a year ago, on January 2012 and quickly became one of the most appreciated games on the new Nintendo handheld. The game is a 2d platform game, developed by Renegade Kid. Players take the role of Max as he travels through stages, avoiding dangers and killing bad guys using his gun. The game features a pretty basic 2d platformer gameplay formula, but it’s really well done. The graphics are also very good, making use of the 3D capabilities of the 3DS.
Mutant Mudds will get a sequel this year, simply called Mutant Mudds 2, as confirmed on Twitter by Renegade Kid co founder Jools Watsham, answering a question. No more informations have been given but we can probably expect more wacky stages and classic, but solid, platforming action. This time the game may be getting an eShop release: Watsham want to know fans opinion on the matter. The choices are between a release on retail, eShop, or a boxed release with both games included. There may also be a chance for the first game to receive a eShop release. Watsham has also noted how the combo pack is the most popular choice so far.
The original Mutant Mudds is available on 3DS, Pc and iOS. A Wii U version is scheduled for a 2013 release.
