When Capcom spoke about some news on the Megaman series in time for its 25th anniversary, no one probably expected something like Street Fighter X Megaman: the game started as a fan project, looking and playing like an old 8 bit Megaman game, where the blue bomber will have to fight Street Fighter character like Ryu, Chun Li and Blanka, among others, after traveling through some stages inspired by classic Street Fighter locations. The project was considered promising by Capcom itself, endorsing it and helping it seeing the light of day in the end.
The game already received a couple of patches to fix some balance issues and some bugs and glitches, but no major change has been made to the game. However Capcom is planning a new big update, not a simple patch, but a whole “Version 2″ of the game: together with more bug fixes, the game will get some adjustment on level design and some gameplay design choices. We still don’t know if any new stage is going to be added in the game: no more info has been given but we can expect more in the next days.
If you want to try the game, it’s available for download for free on Capcom’s Official Site
