Starhawk has now officially gone gold! For those unfamiliar with the term, going “gold” means that the game is essentially finished and is now being sent to be mass manufactured before being sent out to retailers.
Not only that, but the folks over at LightBox Interactive has also revealed that they’ll be doling out gifts to those who participated in Starhawk’s multiplayer beta!
The first gift will be The Hand of the Founder, it’s an exclusive character accessory for anyone who participated in the beta. It’s a gold, glowing, atom-looking thing that’s bonded to your character’s right hand. Its purpose is to show everyone that you’re one of the game’s “founders.”
The second item is the Warhawk Paint Set. It will include two exclusive vehicle paint schemes that players can use to customize their vehicles in Starhawk. This item will be available to beta players who were “ALSO” Warhawk players.
Both these items are Starhawk beta exclusives and are intended as special “thank you” items that will “never be re-released or sold.”
Lastly, LightBox has said that they’ll do a follow-up post on the specifics on how these gifts can be redeemed.
Starhawk will be out on May 8 exclusively for the PS3.
