By looking at the screens and videos of Dance Magic, older gamers will remember another rhythm game series which has been pretty successful during the Ps1 era, when rhythm games were just starting getting developed: Bust-a-Move. The series over the top features must have been quite an inspiration for Gaijin Entertainment during the development of their latest game, Dance Magic.
Dance Magic premise is quite absurd: humans have the power to gather powerful energy by dancing and some evil guy has decided to use this power to conquer the world. And the only way to prevent the world from falling into these evil hands is, obviously, dancing! The game will be fully compatible with Ps Move but it can also be played with a regular Dual Shock 3 controller and it will feature over 20 characters, each with his own special abilities and dance styles like Disco, Break Dancing and more. The game will have quite a few play modes: Campaign, Co-Op and Free Dance Mode.
Get ready to show your best moves since the world may be needing them more than ever. The game will be available next week, on January 8, on PSN: you can watch the game’s official trailer here.
