Final Fantasy XI is one of Square Enix most profitable games: the game was originally released back in 2002 on Ps2 and Pc and a subscription was required to play the game. As the first MMORPG developed by Square Enix, the game really rose to become on the best and most played Online Role Playing Games around, thanks to an involving world and well developed system: the FF 11 battle system ended up being used in an offline entry of the series, Final Fantasy 12 and serves as the basics of the battle system used in Final Fantasy 13 and its sequel, Final Fantasy 13.

The next big Square Enix MMORPG, Final Fantasy 14 hasn’t been as successful as its predecessor: the choice to release another expansion for Final Fantasy 11 totally makes sense. Final Fantasy 11: Seekers Of Adoulin will be released on March 26 in the United States and on March 27 in Europe costing 30$, 40$ if you’ll buy it together with the main game. This new expansion will add two new jobs, Geomancer and Rune Fencer, and an all new explorable region: the Near West.
