Fans of the Sniper series are in for some more bad news today as a third delay has just been announced for the latest entry into the series. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has had its fair share of delays since its original announcement.
The widely popular FPS developed by City Interactive has been having issues since the start and the company has just confirmed the new release date to be Mar. 12; a solid two months behind its last release date. It’s an unfortunate turn of events, especially this close to its release date, but developers must make sacrifices from time to time in order to be able to make sure their product is as good as it can be.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2’s original release date was August 2012, followed by its first push to October 2012, second push to January 2013 and now March 2013. Specific reasons were never given for the delay but we can safely assume that it was strictly for quality purposes.
The move could prove to be a real disadvantage to City Interactive as several strong games are set to release within the same time frame, including the highly anticipated Gears of War: Judgement.
We have our fingers crossed that this will be the last of Ghost Warrior 2’s issues before its new release on Mar. 12, 2013.
