The Walking Dead franchise is enjoying an immense popularity right now, thanks to the success of the Television Series, with a third season airing right now, the comic and the game developed by Telltale games. This popularity is so big that it doesn’t look like it’s going to go away easily.
Other than the TellTale Games adventure game, there’s another The Walking Dead game being developed. Called The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, the game is a first person shooter developed by Terminal Reality and published by Activision: Survival Instincts is going to be based on the television series, unlike The Walking Dead: The Game which was based on the comic.
The game will be a sort of prequel to the television series, focusing on Daryl and Merle Dixon. Up until now no screens or videos have been released: today a new video is available and can be watched on Youtube. The game looks incredibly generic so far: it’s your typical FPS coupled with zombie enemies. However we must remember that this video is most likely a prototype of sorts, so the full game will probably be very different.
The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts is slated for a 2013 release on Pc, Ps3 and Xbox 360
