In what could be one of the worst-kept secrets of the year, it seems the long-rumored Black Ops 2 is indeed a reality…and once again, it got leaked well ahead of Activision’s official unveiling!
This time, the culprit is retail store Target; who has seemingly jumped the gun by offering pre-order cards for Black Ops 2 – and that’s not all, there’s even a printed release date!
The card, which can be seen below, explicitly lists the release date as “11.13.12.” — Which isn’t surprising, given that almost all of the Call of Duty games (after Modern Warfare 1) have been released on the second Tuesday of every November.
While it’s not really surprising to see Black Ops 2 – the first one did sell a ton of copies – after all. At least people don’t have to guess which iteration of the franchise will be making an appearance this year.
Activision’s original plan for Black Ops 2’s unveiling was on May 1 during the NBA Playoffs. There’s still the trailer though, right?
