Walking Dead Retail Games Has "Major" Issues

The Walking Dead game has been hailed as one of the best games of the year, and earlier this week Telltale released a retail disc version of the game. However, there are reports that the retail disc version of the Walking Dead game may have some serious issues. The issues look to have shown up on both the Xbox 360 version and the PS3 version.

The issues range from major lagging issues, major glitches, and saving issues on the PS3 among other problems as well. People have gone on the support forums to say that the Walking Dead retail game is basically unplayable. Telltale is responding to people in the forum and requesting information specific to the issues but no patches for the retail game have been announced as of yet.

It is not known how wide spread these issues are, there are numerous threads about the issues but I haven’t read too many reviews that mention these issues. I know a couple of reviews do bring up some slight glitches but that they never get in the way of the experience. The types of issues being described in the forums are a much more serious issue.

Have any of you experienced major issues with the Walking Dead retail release version? Or has it been a smooth experience with a few bumps in the road?

Such a shame, I’ve been holding off on the downloadable episodes and waiting for the retail release. I hope that, when it gets fixed with a patch and by the time the game hits Europe.

I just bought a brand new disck for xbox yeserday. I finished the first episode and now it won’t let me go any further. When I click on the next episode it gives me a screen that says rewind then freezes. Or it will restart the first level entirely over…. now they have an option to skip a level but it will randomize events…. but EVEN THEN WHEN I START EPISODE 2345 IT STILL GLITCHES ME BACK TO THE BEGINING OF EPISODE ONE……SERIOUSLY I WANT MY MONEY BACK THIS IS THEFT.
