Sonic 4: Episode 2’s Beta has been Leaked to Steam

It’s been revealed recently by a member of Sonic Stadium (Sonic community fan-site) that if you pre-order the game, you’ll somehow get the chance to download an incomplete version of Sonic 4!

This caused quite an excitement in the Sonic community, fans captured screenshots, played the title extensively and even posted a video or two that can be seen here.

If you’re planning on trying the beta yourself, don’t bother; as SEGA has patched this little hole and even deleted any discussion of the game in SEGA’s official forums…although general gameplay impressions have been very favorable, so I don’t see why SEGA would want to delete them. I can imagine Sonic needs all the good publicity he needs given that his last few outings were, shall we say, “less than stellar.”

Sonic 4: Episode 2 will be out this coming May 15…oh, and you can pre-order it via Steam, too! Who knows, there might be another leak or something, right?
