Despite Assassin’s Creed 3′s long-awaited release being delayed due to a huge untimely storm tearing its way through America’s East Coast, hype around the game has reached fever pitch. Playstation 3 and Vita owners have particular reason to be excited however, as Sony have revealed the exclusive content that will be coming to Sony’s flagship consoles.
We already heard about the Benedict Arnold DLC, which extends the story by about four hours, but the PS blog has now revealed even more PS-bound goodies. They note however, that much of the content only becomes accessible later in the game.
Here is a list of treats awaiting all ye PS3 faithful:
- An exclusive PS3 wallpaper
- Aveline can use Connor’s trademark Tomahawk
- Special multiplayer character to give you an edge on PS Vita
- Instant upgrade to Aveline’s ammunition pouches
- An entire mission playable as Connor
Assassin’s Creed 3 and Liberation were both due out on October 31 in America and October 31 in Europe and other parts of the world. However, thanks to Sandy, it looks like much of the world will be receiving a major game release at the same time for once.
Assassin’s Creed 3 marks the biggest jump in the series’ setting yet, taking place during the American Revolution. Players control half-English, half-Native American assassin Connor Kenway, who takes to fighting European colonialists after they attack his home. Players will also see much more action in the present day, where Desmond strives to prevent the 2012 apocalypse. No pressure then…
