One of the biggest game’s of the is only a week away, and Ubisoft are pushing out one more trailer to feed the excitement of millions of hungry fans. And its certainly one belter of a launch trailer.
While we’ve seen the patriotism, soldiers, assassinations, ships, historical figures and wild bears before in previous trailers, its a great trailer with all of the action condensed into 90 seconds. Connor’s younger self is shown briefly around a burning forest, presumably during the time his hometown was attacked by the colonists. The footage also suggests that there may be some gameplay for this event.
PS3 fans have another surprise in store, as the publisher has also announced four missions exclusive to the PS3 version. This extra content adds up to an extra hour of gameplay. The description on YouTube reads:
Benedict Arnold’s secret plot to betray West Point and sabotage the American Revolution earned him the ultimate mark of infamy: a name that will forevermore be synonymous with deceit and treachery. And on October 30th, the most reviled turncoat in American history will be virtually resurrected in Assassin’s Creed III to pay his dues once more — but only on PlayStation 3.
The PS3-exclusive four-mission arc begins with a special request from General Washington in exposing a rumored plot to overthrow West Point, a critical link in the defense of the Colonies against Great Britain. Across four missions, Connor will flush out Loyalist spies and work undercover for Benedict Arnold, culminating in a full-blown assault on West Point that Connor must halt at all costs.
Ubisoft have announced an Assassin’s Creed 3 release date of October 30th on consoles in the US, and the 31st in the UK. A PC release is set for November 23rd, and the Wii U version is one of the console’s launch titles.
