You might be right, yet professional freeskier Nicolas Vuignier proved that there isn’t always the case.
Playing around with apps on his iPhone and after countless trials and errors, Nicolas managed to film the most amazing extreme skiing video without anything but his iPhone and some strings.
Swirling the iPhone around his head with the camera focused on him, he made a video with 360 slow motion effecs that are worthy of the Matrix.
He calls this the Centriphone and here is how it all looks.
