In a really not very surprising announcement, Game Stop President Tony Bartel has announced that Call of Duty Black Ops is fast on the the path to becoming the biggest game launch of all time. This extravagant claim has came hot on the heels of the announcement of the Call of Duty Black Ops will be receiving the Elite service for free.

Launched last year, Elite formerly included subscription options that provided access to DLC and extra community features. Such as statistic tracking for players, most commonly played with friends, your most common kill streaks and the ability to clearly track your level progression, which of course added to the ease in which you could attain a higher rank, and lets face it, who doesn’t love seeing that level pop and the unlock of a new rifle?

Game Stop president Tony Bartel said: “Consumer anticipation for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is tremendous.

This is of course following in the footsteps of it’s predecessors’ with their monolithic launch titles, and they certainly left some large boots to fill. The Call of Duty has long been known for its chart topping sales, and with the latest iteration of the franchise.

“We are seeing the highest pre-orders in history.

“With its current pace, this Call of Duty is on track to break records and is likely to be our biggest game launch of all time.”

Call of Duty Black Ops Is set to launch globally on November 13th on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
